In 2016, UN General Assembly reaffirmed non-recognition of the annexation and condemned "the temporary occupation of part of the territory of Ukraine—the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol". جمهورية القرم المتمتعة بالحكم الذاتي ومدينة سيفاستوبول".
